The Chainlink

I just read on Facebook that Sobelman's is scouting for sites in Chicago where they can make some of the tastiest burgers around.  Dave Sobelman has two locations near Marquette University, where his burgers have gotten a great following.  There's also a Sobelman's on Farwell and Irving on Milwaukee's East Side.  Any Chainlinker who wants to come up here to Milwaukee should check Sobelman's out and see what a lot of Marquette students know.

I'm not sure I follow on which comment was the "gratuitous anti-gay one."   You can't be talking about The Onion link -can you?  Everyone realizes that is Satire, right?

Look at the very first reply.

Well, The Chainlink really does have something here to offend everyone.

Actually, Barry, I think that comment was an indirect reference to 1st Ward Alderman Moreno's refusal to allow Chick-Fil-A to open a restaurant in the 1st Ward because of the company's stance on same sex marriage.  If you look around here, you will see that a lot of members of the Chainlink are gay, and I have yet to see anyone attack anyone else because of his or her sexual orientation.

Nice gratuitous anti-gay comment. Such a welcoming community.

"GFY," another pleasantry in the Chainlink chat boards.

Skin, grow some dude.

You're an idiot and way, way to sensitive for real life.

Have a nice day.

1. Meat is offensive to vegetarians and ardent environmentalists, both common among cyclists.
To me and many others "tastiest burger" is a profoundly repulsive, oxymoronic, nay neaderthalic, concept.

2. Q. What does this have to do with bicycling?

A. Nothing that I can tell.

Q: What does a discussion about the morality of eating meat have to do with a discussion about where to eat the "tastiest burger".

A: Nothing as far as I can tell.

So we are banned from discussing anything not bike related here?

FYI, my bike runs on delicious animal flesh, mostly from cows, so this discusion is bicycle related.

My bike seems to run best on beer, mostly tasty craft brews.  There aren't any anti-alcohol folks on the Chainlink, are there?  Nah, didn't think so.

Before this thread is dumped as spam, I'd like to say that food serves the purpose of fueling the cyclist.  Some are strict vegetarians and others choose to be omnivores.  Let's live and let live.
