The Chainlink

After about a year of planning, presenting our case to the university, coordinating with facilities & operations, Cycle Collective got our FixIt stands.

This is a great achievement for student bicycle advocacy for DePaul and hopefully this trend continues at DePaul and other Chicago schools.

It is in the quad at Seminary between Belden and Fullerton. If you are familiar with DePaul, beside the bike parking between The Pit & the library's west entrance.

All setup and ready for use by DePaulians and the community!

A few pics of the self service repair stand (designed and built by yours truly) that we installed outside of the shop:

It has a pump, adjustable wrench, hex multi-tool, flat and philips screw drivers, tire levers, and 2 15mm pedal/open ended wrenches cabled to it. It has 3 locations to place bike in stand; on the front resting on the top tube, or the sides hanging by the saddle/seat post.

Well done!

Nice! I like your design better too with the green street signs.

It would be nice if DePaul put one at their downtown campus.
