I usually wear contacts when it rains as I have yet to find anything effective to prevent the rain water from running down my glasses when I ride. Today was a contact lens day. I do wish there were windshield wipers for glasses, though. The goggle idea has some merit, although the page says something about not for use with bike helmets.
By the time I left it was just gently raining, and it was still 70F, so I just packed a change of clothes and rode without rain gear. Now that we mention it, I don't even have any working rain gear...
It was pretty nice and the bike room was pretty much empty. The only bikes in there were suspiciously dry and clean.
Lasik kinda changed my life. So much of what I love to do is much easier now: biking, camping, swimming, drinking... My only regret was waiting so long to do it.
Does rain gear really work in the summer? I mean, either you get drenched with rain if you don't wear it or get drenched in sweat if you do. I'll pick getting drenched in rain...which I did today.
Stylish, yet practical.

Yes, you get wet regardless, so my rule is: Wear whatever keeps your body temperature the way you like it.

Oh I did not notice that restriction with the over-eyeglasses-version. I don't wear glasses and the regular version are just fine with my helmet.

It's been hotter and I have to admit I would rather be soaked with rain instead of sweat, but I will continue to ride as it's better than being crammed on a train with 100 other sweaty hot humans.
This morning was actually very nice. It was hot this afternoon, but I tried the bus once when it was hot--riding is better. I go slow anyway.
That west wind is HOT.
Maybe some rain for tomorrow morning, Melanie :-).
99 degrees at 7 p.m. riding down Damen to go home. Just did an errand...seems like at least 90 at 11 pm?! Stay hydrated!
Well, I put on my rear fender this morning for my commute. I'm so glad I did, since there were so many puddles on the way to work.
