The Chainlink

I received a call from a woman named Patricia  M u l l o y, Two 1 Seven One 3 Two 3, suburban area code beginning w/ 7, who heard about Ghost Bikes and would like one for her brother Robert.

He was killed in 2003 when hit by a drunk driver near Milwakee and Gale street (Jefferson Park).

Robert was born 5/39/1953 and he was killed on 7/9/2003.

Anyone available to help get one up?

I know this has been a while, but as always I can make a sign, and help paint the bike. I could probably get the chain as well

I think there are two bikes at WTB ready to go.

We can do it any time you like. A bit out of my range though.

The plan is to put up a ghostbike on the early evening of Sunday July 9th. Anyone interested to join me and the family of Robert Heinbockel?

I think I'm booked that day. I'd recommend a thread on the main forum a few days before as barely anyone reads most of the groups. Thanks for your work on this.

A ghostbike for Rob Heinbockel was placed last night. About a dozen members of Rob's family came out to help, as did a few Chainlinkers. Overall, the experience reminded me of the first time we placed Jepson's bike in regards to the family's involvement, except with much better weather...

Here are a few pics. The bike itself:Rob's family:
