Sharrows on Wells Under the "L"

The first day was great, before cars figured out it wasn't actually a bike lane.  This morning I took the shared lane on Wells from Kendzie in front of Merchandise Mart only to have an SUV floor it, swerve around me, partially taking the next lane to pass and then slam on the breaks in front of me for the red light before the bridge.  It seemed pretty clear he was quite pissed that there was a bike in his lane (even though I keep a quick pace of 18mph+ while taking a lane in the loop)
