I rode today and I saw a bobcat. I don't have any pics of it, but it was pretty darn cool.

I rode today, got at flat at keeler and Milwaukee. There was no traffic at all at 7:35, usually its ugly. I hopped the bus, waited for the Bike Lane to open, and I was on my way soon enough. Thank you for opening at 8am!

Daniel, so glad you survived!

I met a guy on Tuesday near Chicago and milwaukee, we rode up to Jeff park where we both live. Yesterday I saw him in the same place, and asked if he wanted to ride up there again, I'd give him plenty of space. We decided to take Elston, trying not to fight the wind. I was about 15 ft behind him coming up to Fullerton passing about 30 cars waiting for the red, when a car going south took a left into a lot and nailed him, right in front of me! My new biking buddy!!

He was unharmed as well, besides a bent rear wheel. The key he said was lift up your legs! Wise idea or he could of had some serious injury. The lady was visually upset, and drove him north to Jeff park so he could take of picking up his kids, etc. I had adrenaline running through my system the rest of the night. I don't know the guys name, but I hope he got home in time, and that we can ride again when the temps get a lil lower.

Between this and my flat yesterday, it was the most interesting commuting day so far.

That's awfully generous of you. I would have filed a police report if only to make sure the statistic was recorded and to hedge against ANY damage to me or my bike that required funds to fix.

Oh yeah, for whatever reason, I had ZERO energy riding into work this morning. I had to dog it @ 13.5 mph the entire time. I'm not sure if it's from the heat, lack of sleep or whatever.
