Starved Rock. July 7-9, 2012 (3 days)

would like to make this a 3-day-er so the bones can relax a bit longer. lets nail down some dates.

 

Slingshot via metra to Joliet.  google maps proposed route.  ~62 miles along the I&M canal trail that follows the Des Plaines and Illinois Rivers, and of course, the canal and is almost entirely off roads. there is a shortcut that can shave 3 miles but takes ya off the I&M trail.

thanks, guys!  perhaps we need to update the official head count to make sure 2 sites is sufficient.  Hector and I are a YES!

Okay, here's the deal.  Each site allows 2 tents max and 4 people per site.  Here's a google doc that people can sign in on to get spots so that no one ends up showing up and not having a place to stay.  If you're going fill it in so that we can make sure we have in enough room.

hector and i can actually only stay saturday night (he can't get off of work on monday, so we'll be heading back sunday) but i made the reservation through monday assuming that one or two other people will join us on the site and stay through monday.

If you're going fill in the google docs column under people for the appropriate site.  Just remember there's a limit of 4 people and 2 tents for each site so some doubling up in the tents will be necessary.

heya sanchith - i think you'll need to ask one of the other single campers if you can share their tent, or else book another site.
