Coming Down: Building at Lakefront Path and Belmont Underpass

The structure on the lakefront path at the underpass just south of Belmont is coming down. I talked to the workers who were disassembling the building; they did not know what it was planned for, but they confirmed its demise. Finally, someone else realized the idiocy of putting a building that close to an already hazardous intersection.

Better late than never.  I wonder how many shovel-ready dollars got poured down that hole?
