My husband I would like to join you.  It would be our very first bike camping trip. Are newbies welcome?  Thanks!  -April

I intend to go this May 12, but I'd like something firm as to where we'll camp so that I can plan my route, as I still have to come from Milwaukee.

It looks like the best option would be to get the pinewoods group tent site.  Up to 40 people are allowed.  It'll run $40 for a single night but we should make a reservation soon so that it doesn't get taken.  I can make a reservation but I'll be doing a bike race during the afternoon and won't get to the site until 7 or 8 so checkin might be a problem if I'm not there.  It run everyone about $3-4 depending on how many people show up.  I created a google doc to keep track of who is going and how they're getting there.  Could people sign up there so we can keep track of everyone?

Good idea on the Google Docs spreadsheet S.

I'll be biking up with the 8:30 train group from Harvard.  I can reserve the site so we don't have any check-in issues.

Thanks Ryan! Do you want folks to paypal you or should when just pay you in PBR on site?

FYI, when making the reservation; some of these sites are youth and/or non-profit only sites so make sure to have some schtick ready in case the ranger asks on the phone.

I'd like to join ya'all, if there's space? Have extra tent/bag too...

Thaddeus

As far as Pinewoods goes, you'll have to check in at Ottawa Lake.  There's no check-in at Pinewoods itself.

Ottawa lake is not too far from pinewoods (4 miles) so checking in shouldn't be an issue but yeah, I probably should have mentioned this.  Thaddeus, we should have space for more.

Sounds good S, thanks.

Ash,

Money at the campsite is fine.  It's not worth paying Paypal for sending me a couple bucks each.

EVERYONE - Reserve America asks for an occupant number to reserve a site.  I'm counting 16 people so far.  I'll go hi-end on this and reserve the site for 25 people.
