This series is so exciting that I couldn't wait for a Half Acre member to post about it. It's five consecutive days of inexpensive, convenient, and fun racing for novice and prospective racers! It's only $50 for men and $35 for women for all five days.

MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, AND FRIDAY!

MARCH 23-27, 2009

RACE START/FINISH AT Crilly & Ave G, CALUMET PARK, CHICAGO

Spiffy park loop featuring several left turns for you to enjoy and the mass-starts and points you need to upgrade. All events held rain-or-shine so that you can get maximum mass-start experience.

6pm: Registration & course open
6:30pm: Women’s 4 --- 30 min – field limit 50
6:30pm: Juniors 12-16 and 16-18– 30 min – field limit 50
7:05pm: Men’s 4/5 – 30 min – field limit 50

This is great news for those of us who ride with and train new racers. Everyone should come out and race/volunteer/watch! Calumet Park is only a few minutes south of the end of the lakeshore path, and it's a great course. I know because my team has practice races there every week!

I'm sure that there will be plenty of men racing, but in order to help boost the women's race, TATI Cycles will donate a $35 gift certificate to every Cat4 woman who enters the full series. It's almost like racing for free!
