The Chainlink

The Chainlink, Chicago Bike Winter, Active Trans, of course and lots of others…we’re really excited about this year!

The presentations are going to be amazing, there are more than 50 bike shops, vendors, nonprofits, clubs and individuals selling stuff and having fun.

Who’s going??

Please tell your non-Chainlink friends to join us by RSVPing and sharing this on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/events/222794761149263/

Thanks so much, Chainlinkers!

Ethan Spotts, Active Trans

PS: we're selling a limited edition T-shirt this year (women's sizes too!)

I've RSVP'd here.

James doesn't do Facebook.  Hopefully someday the "Whole internet" isn't going to keep moving back to the CompuServe/AOL/Facebook model...

I can't wait for the "swap" (where swapping isn't allowed) as I'm looking for a deal on a new helmet and maybe find a pair of Power Grips for the pedals of my new road bike.  I'm sure I'll walk out with a trailer-full of good crap.

James, if you can talk someone into swapping, that'd be awesome...we say go for it!

Ethan, Active Trans

What's an internet, James? I will have half a table at this year's swap with all kinds of goodies from my private stock.

Duane--

I know it's not ideal as you may miss some contact opportunities, but if you do want to get a way for a bit feel free to grab a volunteer to watch your space for a while.

I think we briefly discussed having a private area where people could go to swap spit, but the park district nixed it.

Yeah Active Trans processed my application to volunteer!  Whoohoo ; )

Have no idea how I passed their extensive background check, they didn't even uncover my registered wingnut status.  Looking forward to meeting Chainlink peeps.  I'll be wearing a Bears scripted "B" cap and a smile.

I think we're OK with wingnuts, as long as they're registered. So, Steel Driver, you get the cool green volunteer T-shirt! (you can still wear the Bears cap and smile, of course).

I think we have a winner in the "most unexpected article headline" category . . .
