The Chainlink

CHAOS is a new brew club in Chicago with its own brew house.  We have one small problem.  We dont have any idea as to what to do with all the spent grain from brewing.

We average 10 to 20 pounds of grain per brew.  These spent grains are great for adding to compost, for making doggy treats, for pig feed, and even baking bread.

But alas, as the adage goes, too much of anything isnt good for you.  We cannot add any more grain to our compost as its too much nitrogen. So many baked doggy treats, even winston is getting over them, i dont have any pigs, and i dont have time to bake bread.

So, hopefully, someone here has some ideas as to what else we can do, or even better, wants to take some off our hands to mix into your compost or whatever else you may wish to do with it.

Let me know if you are interested.

Hello fellow home brewer!

The plant may want to take them for energy generation. At least until New Chicago gets running full steam.

do you have contact with anyone there?
