Parking in designated bicycle lanes

The Mayor can profess to love bikes, but can also tolerate abuse in enabling the vendors at Millenium Park to have free reign. He owes the Pritzgers and others for their financial support, which is what keeps him going like the Energizer Bunny. Look at the Children's Museum endorsement that he has given in the face of local opposition.

I do have the tags with the ordinance and will continue to use them.

My goal is to either drop the bicycle path designation or enforce the ordinance. It is a mockery.

All of the bike lanes could use enforcement. I see cars double parked in the bike lanes on Wells all the time! Lincoln Ave is another hazard area. It's the responsibility of the Dept of Revenue (same one that tickets the meters).

Let's work together for a resolution.

I agree on the double parking on Lincoln. I ride on that street all the time and that is a hazard.
Although I hardly ever see the ticket maid around.

Thanks to Alderman Reilly the problem was solved, at least technically.  The curbside marked bike lane has been moved so that cars/trucks can park on the side and bikes can be ridden in a new lane.  Getting doored?  Likely.
