It seems like a very elegant solution to a problem I don't think most people have.  And I would hate to have the device "flip" my handlebars sideways while in motion.  But it's still interesting.
Im impressed you got 16 grand in donations already..nice work.
If done well, and available in enough sizes and configurations, it would be really useful for some people.  The three bikes leaning in one room would take up significantly less space, and putting bikes on a trunk-mounted car rack would be a lot easier.
Pulling out a wrench multiple times a day is a significantly bigger hassle than a button or lever built in.

God forbid a Metra conductor would see someone use this.

They would subsequently demand that every cyclist that board turn their handlebars sideways, declare it a Metra "policy," and remove you from the train if you don't comply.
