Sweet! Link works, thanks for sharing.
Meh. I've watched one of these coupon tune-ups being done and it seems to differ greatly from a real tune up. I do more work on my bike just by greasing the chain.

This can actually be true of ANY 'tune up' depending on the quality and honesty of the shop.  Depending on the age of your bike, you riding habits and other factors a yearly, or even every other year, tune up may consist of nothing more than checking your bike over and making sure everything works and is properly tightened.  There are shops out there who take advantage of this; any time a person comes in asking for a tune up they just take the bike in as one no matter how little work it needs.  In my opinion if you take your bike into a reputable shop before they do any form of tune up they are going to access your bike and give you a report of exactly what it needs be it a tune up package, a couple of small adjustments or simply to be ridden more.

Deals like this one are not aimed at regular cyclists, they are aimed at people who ride very little.  Lets face it, most of us who ride every day as transportation have our regular shops picked out and, in many cases, do quite a bit of maintenance ourselves.  the hopes with deals like this is to get the folks who bought a bike 3 years ago and ride it five or six times a summer to bring their bike in and pay 35 bucks for what the perceive as a 70 dollar value to get their bike dusted off and the chain lubed.  They are accepting bikes as tune ups they normally would have sent away or just made a small adjustment to.  The super simple, super fast tune ups make up for the relatively few actual tune ups that come in on the groupon.
