The Chainlink

Hello Chainlink World,

My name is Dave and I am looking for some help.  A few months ago I purchased a new bike.  I have been hitting the streets of Chicago on my own but would like to start riding with groups to connect with fellow bike riders.

I currently ride a Kona Dew and looking to ride at a steady pace and check out cool spots around the city.

Any advice on where to start, clubs to look into, etc. would be great.

Thanks!

We've got a great Chicago ride at the end of the month, Chainlinkers save $5 online with coupon code CHAINLINK5.

You can enjoy a 12-mile route or the Chicago Cycling Club designed 65-mile Ultimate Neighborhood Ride.

The Chicago Cycling Club is also highly recommended for your needs. Confident you will get lots of great suggestions from the Chainlink, so much going on!

Welcome, Dave!

Head over to the calender, find something that looks interesting and come on out.
I'm planning on riding the Full Moon Fiasco this Saturday. I've never done it before and it sounds like fun from the comments on past rides.
FBC rides are fun. You'll meet lots of characters, Dug included.
If you're free Thursday evenings, the Point 83 ride is lots of fun.  Pretty laid back, friendly 20- and 30-something crew that hits a few bars and has a fun time riding in between.  And +1 on FBC, that and Midnight Marauders are both cool rides with good people too.
