It does, but when you get free equipment and parts from the manufacturers and a team of mechanics that will check and fix things out almost daily, I don't think it matters.

In my lucky life of being able to sit with pro mechanics and team directors, it is not necessarily true that teams get everything for free; even so, they may get X number of groups to last an entire season. And it is a long season.

Yea. Even if they get the things for free, they won't want to blow lubricant out of anything as efficiency is such a big deal in the pro races.
