The Chainlink

Since I am just joining and we are all basically new here. I was just wondering what everyone rides here. I always recognize the bike before the person, just wondering if I saw some of you guys around on the road.

I ride the following, depending on my mood...
-Specialized 2009 Langster Road Bike with flip flop hub (fixed), carbon fiber fork and seat post
-Nirve Pyro Cruiser with Nexus Planetary Gear: 3 Gears..
-Custom Lowrider Stretch Cruiser with Apehanger bars and banana seat (Single Coaster Gear)

Piks of each are all on my page if you wanna lookie.

What do you ride?

Yeah, it looks way better in person. The only other color is the Ginger Beer version, that comes with the "triple" package.

Me too! The 930 was my first non sportmart bike. I got it in '93 and road it across Michigan - north to south - twice.....among other normal commutes, and single track in Oregon. I've got enough other bikes to get me around now, so I set it up for a my dad to use - super upright stem, granny saddle, easy rolling tires. Great bike.

I'm probably going to shoot myself in the foot and run the price up by saying this, but I find mid/late 90s steel mountain bikes to be my sweet spot. I hope there enough pristine 18" Trek 930s sitting unused in garages and basements to last me another 30 years of riding.

Hah! So fun to come across this comment, h3. I have a red 930 sitting in my dining room. You can actually see the back tire in my profile pic. I've been riding it since I bought it back in the early 90s. Honestly the thing does not age! It carried me through my college years in Colorado. Saw the top of Sugarloaf Mtn. ahhh the memories. I just picked up a Madone 4.7 this summer. Quite a difference from his older bigger, fat-tired bro! That thing came with wings! I switch often between the two. I lovem both. Threw some hybrid tires on the 930, well until the snow hits at least. He may be older but he sure is riden faster now ;)
