Hey Chainlinkers!
Please support my friend Natan as he cycles across the USA, raising the roof on affordable housing. In just a few weeks he hits the road with other recent college grads to pedal 3,835 miles while building houses along the way. From their website:
"Over eight seasons, Bike & Build has contributed $2,780,000 to housing groups to fund projects planned and executed by young adults; this includes more than $490,000 donated from the summer of 2010. Bike & Build hopes to donate at about this contribution level for the summer of 2011."
Make a contribution here and look forward to getting a postcard from the route.
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing, this is awesome
Now we can follow these biker-builders on their route. Here is the latest from one of the riders. I'm posting this because they still need lots of support, so remember to give to a good cause. The cost of their trip is covered. Your contribution goes towards building homes.

Hello everyone!
Sorry I haven't been emailing, it's hard to find the time/internet. My schedule usually goes something like: wake up, eat, bike, eat, fall asleep, repeat. Please excuse any typos, 9:30 is pretty late for me these days. Right now I am in Terre Haute, Indiana - a small town in the south of the state. Some updates:
- We dipped our wheels in VA beach and rode westward.
- First few days were low mileage, small hills and lots of farms.
- We spent two days building with Habitat for Humanity in Charlottesville and put up floors and walls for the second story of a home.
- We hit the Appalachians with 80+ miles of climbing up the Blue Ridge Mountains. The next 3 days were pretty tough as we went up and down more mountain tops, but the views and speedy descents made it all worth it.
- After passing through beautiful West Virginia, we arrived in my home state of Ohio. I tried to explain to my group members that the steep hills of southern Ohio is a a very different place than the flat northern regions I call home.
- We arrived in Cincinnati and had a great day building with the local Habitat for Humanity Affiliate, where I got to spend the day climbing and building scaffolding.
- Indiana has proved to be a mostly flat (awesome) state.
