The Chainlink

Black Ford Ranger lic. 26774G Heavy set Hispanic male

Weaving slamming on the brakes, "bumped" a bike at Milwaukee and Division.

Before that almost hit me and the biker in front of me nearly ran into the back of him as he slammed on his brakes.

I yelled at him to get off the road he pointed to his eyes. Now if he forgot his glasses or his eyesight is so bad he can't drive he needs to be taken off the road.

Be careful peoples.

I hope you also let him know you were going to post this to chainlink, in no uncertain terms.

Ha,ha no I WAS tempted to call 911 though. He'll get broadsided by a bus and that'll be that.

I hope you let him know you were seriously considering calling 911 as well. There needs to be consequences for behavior as you've described.
Agreed.  That's the kind of situation where the police need to be notified.

Yeah I got talking with the other biker and we had to catch up to him again then we agreed he was in some other state of mind. I turned onto Division he went on up Milwaukee then saw him "bump" the girl so I turned back to get the license then lost him as I saved the lic. number.
You should have called 911. There was no reason not to.
yes, you really should have called the police.  as a matter of fact, if you call 311 and give them the license number, the city will send the guy a ticket in the mail.

This is true? Does it mean I would need to appear in court if he contests it?

I don't have much faith in the 911 system after living in Detroit.

A security guard told me that after i got into a little scuffle.  I've never tried it, but you should for chrissakes DO something.  And so what if you might have to go to court?  that blind motorist could kill someone next time he gets behind the wheel.  do have any contact information from the other witnesses?  if so, then you better do it.  be responsible.  You really really should have called the cops, and this is how you can make up for it.  and if they city does nothing? well, as least you tried.  And btw, you are not in detroit any more.

Hi Mike,

Welcome to CHICAGO! We have our very own police department; we don't have to use Detroit's.

I'm not worried if I have to go to court I just didn't know they would issue a ticket via phone/word of mouth.
