Does anyone know why Damen in between Armitage and Courtland/Viaduct is in such terrible shape going south bound?

And also, when will it be fixed if ever?

It is terrible

Just bumping this:

As of now April 14th (mid April), there is no sign of repaving happening. I may be jumping the gun, but hopefully they will do something next week.

I posted the number and the name of the person I spoke to with the intent that anyone interested in taking responsibility for their daily drag can call and follow up. Feel free, and report back here for the benefit of others.

Spoke to Waguespak's office again-- "Carrie." Charles was not in.

She said the yard opens mid-April and she thought the Damen repaving would be done "by the end of May."

I also mentioned the 8-900 blocks of Oakley and she said she would contact CDOT but was not terribly specific about what she would ask for-- I could be wrong but it felt a little like a brush-off.

Any additional efforts to contact  the office would be helpful and appreciated.

Did you call the office and ask them to see if they could get it moved up?

No I haven't, I 've gotten used to the conditions. It kind of sux but not all that bad. If nothing is done within a week or two I'll try to call. My guess is that they will be resurfacing the whole of this section anyway.
Ridden down the South bound part of Milwaukee in Wicker Park lately?  WTF! Even on my MT. Bike it was bad but on my ten speed or fixie. Ouch!

As of today the nightmare is over. And the villagers rejoiced.

Workers are still out and Damen is partially coned off but all resurfacing seems to now be complete. I rode over it an hour ago and it's smooth sailing. The bike lane still needs to be repainted though so watch out for wayward drivers until it's completed.

And regarding an area unrelated to this post - they also finally fixed the horrible parts of the LFP between Fullerton and the Theatre on the Lake.
