I was there on Sunday and there was plenty of snow and lots of people cross-country skiing. I ended up riding on the road and it wasn't as nice as I had hoped.

Anyone been to the North Branch Trail this week?  I was thinking of checking out how the melt has progressed up there this weekend.
Busted out the nonwinter bike and the canvas sneakers today. Felt good.
Nope. Actually went Condo shopping. Found one right next to a super secret bike route. At least it's not a route on any maps that I can find.
We will find it.

195th street there has signage as a bike route. Can't find it on any map.

Yesterday was so windy, I thought I was riding a stationary bike at times. No riding for me this weekend. I'm working at home...
Yes! I skipped my usual indoor training session to ride the lake front path this morning.  We had a lovely tailwind riding down and thus a chilly headwind coming home.  There are huge chucks of the path missing around Fullerton and there are a few sand and ice traps.  But other than that, with all the right gear, it was a perfect morning for a ride.

I did the XXX ride to highland park today, windy, but we had a turn out of over 50 riders.  Hurry up spring!!

I got a warning on my garmin that the battery in my powermeter was low, then it stopped working, kinda like a car telling you it is already out of gas

I started on North Branch but enough ice patches (roadie) had me jump off at Howard.

Waukegan Rd to Shermer to Harlem up to the Glens...west Lake Ave to Pfingsten North to Dundee Rd...great safe route for those in the area! You can circle the Glens a couple times too. 2hrs 18mph...spinning in lower gears. Becks Dark Ale and flank steak on the grill anyone?

under dressed today. looks a lot warmer than it really is.

It was an awesome day to ride from Daley Plaza to Hyde Park through Pilsen and up to Logan Square for Miguel delValle.

+1
