Beat my wheel back into submission. Now that it's ridable, I had a great ride in this morning. Still some places on Milwaukee where the cars are parked out into the lane.
I haven't been on my bike since the Santa Rampage, it was just to cold.  I applaud everyone the kept it up over the past few weeks.  Anyways, Monday night to today I have put on 63 miles.  Feels good to be back on.

Yup.
Go Alan!

Flat tire. Glad it was towards the end of my errand full day. And that it was a pleasant walk the last mile home with Miguel.
What a day. No bulky clothing! Zipping along and feeling happy to be outside! I loved every minute of it.
Tomorrow should be even better!

I wish I'd have NOT worn my winter gear, it's meant for temps in the 20's or lower. Sweating!!! but I was also concerned it might be one of those days where it starts out warm then is 15 degrees on the way home, it IS still February.

It was a beautiful day for a bike ride today.

I hope you stopped counting honks, thumbs up, waves and "go Del Valles" after you got to about 128,000, because that's going to be what it takes for second place and any chance of being in the run-off. I'm just sayin'...

Yes. Weather is such a tease.
No winter gear put me in the mindset to check out the Lakefront path...might have been the wrong decision.  I wasn't prepared for the massive chunks of missing asphalt or the areas where the beach was flush with the path and everything was sand.  But by the time I got to the Chicago underpass I was acclimated, even with having to move more "do not cross" barriers to actually get out of the stairwell.  A great day for a ride, but I think it might be back to cutting through neighborhoods tonite.
How big were the sand stretches?  I was planning on LFP for my ride home tonight.
