BICYCLE FILM FESTIVAL CHICAGO [10TH Anniversary @ VIADUCT THEATRE]

     The Bicycle Film Festival is coming to Chicago February 24-26, and is proud to announce
its Tenth Annual celebration! The BFF has expanded from its beginnings in New York to
include 40 stops from Tokyo to Sydney to London worldwide. In these last ten years the
BFF has given the bicycle movement a venue to make, show and celebrate their movies
and art. The Bicycle Film Festival has been a major catalyst for the rise of cycling in 
communities and city centers around the world.

great films this year we will also be holding several parties throughout the weekend,
including a GOLDSPRINTS AFTER PARTY @ Viaduct Theatre on February 25th.

There will be a volunteer meeting tomorrow (2/11/11) @ Handlebar Bar and Grill(2311 w North Ave) from 3pm to 4:30 or so.  Food will be provided by the lovely people at Handlebar who were awesome enough to be the official restaurant sponsor of BFF CHICAGO this year.  We are still looking for a few good people to do some distribution of promotional materials as well as some actual "day-of" activities such as helping with the bike valet.  Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to be involved, even if you do not have a ton of time.

Awesome! No problem regarding today's meeting... we'll be going over the general schedule, getting a contact list going,  and having people sign-up for time slots.  I will be emailing a synopsis out to those who cannot make it today.  

We will be having one more volunteer meeting prior to the festival-- also deciding tonight on an evening next week for an informal get together so if there's any particular night that works for you please let me know... so far we have decided that it will be either, Thurs, Fri, Sat or Sun.  

 

To others reading-- we still have room for a few more enthusiastic volunteers so don't be shy!

Looks like its going to be Sunday evening, 6:30 pm @ 3449 west Diversey.  If you are interested in grabbing some promo materials to spread around your stomping grounds prior to Sunday that would be great and myself or Andrew[our volunteer coordinator] would be more than happy to meet up with you... just let me know.  talk to you soon.
