The Chainlink

Weekly, I am sending notes to the city's website regarding abandoned bikes: old, old cruisers, road bikes missing chains, bikes missing everything.  Are these bikes being left behind because the ulocks froze/rusted?  Because someone didn't care?  Or that someone just didn't have a decent place to store their bike?  How about a photo competition or sketches of ceative or useful ways to store bikes (especially in the winter).

When I was helping a friend rehab an apartment in her building, my first thought was how big and wide was the entry way to the apartment - a door with a buzzer, then a hallway about 15ft by 6-8ft. Then then apartment door.  Boy, how many bikes could one store there?

I have this bike rack for my bike. Allows me to keep my bikes in my room and it really doesn't take up much space! I don't want to leave mine outside or where my roommates friends can touch them!

I keep a couple bikes on this rack in my kitchen, and the rest in a hall closet. It is easier to eat healthy when they are hanging 5 feet from your kitchen table.

I wish I had a bunch of Colnagos hanging in my closet. It would be a lot of fun every morning to choose which one to wear that day.
