The Chainlink

I'm calling this new blog post Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe. You can find it on the newly revamped Bike Winter site here:
http://bikewinter.org/node/95

Have a look at the post and share your thoughts on which bike you think I ought to ride and/or how to best winterize the rigs I have.

You'll have to log-in to post comments on Bicicle Beginner so don't be alarmed by that. We need to keep it that way until we figure out a way to better filter spam.  Your comments may not appear immediately, but they will be read and I will respond. After Happy Hour.

My vote would be... er, "chet". The mountain bike. (Sorry, never got into anthropomorphizing bikes.)

The Schwinn will be to heavy/sluggish/slow to stop and the weather/salt will wear on the road bike you obviously care quite a bit about.

Just put some fenders and bright lights on it. And stop pedaling when you are cornering!
I got some campaign signs for make my own fenders for Chet. Did you all see this tutorial posted in the comments? If anyone here wants to make their own fenders, there's a link to a "how to" in the comment section.

In any case, my MTB is gaining favor. And yes--no pedaling on turns! I'm on my Trek until it snows. The Schwinn gets to go on short slow cruises to the store or out for cocktails and light jaunts.
Hi Eric--perhaps the server was down? I just tried and it was fine.
It's bikewinter.org. There's also a Bicicle Beginner banner at the bottom of the home page. Clicking on the title of the post, Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe, should take you there.

If you have any further trouble, post here and I'll try to get in touch someone at Bike Winter, but from my browser (Firefox) it's coming up just fine.
