Super clean vintage bike. I love the modern updates.
Thought I'd post a few gems by Rene Herse

Saw this fantastic early 70s Gitane Tandem at the Classic Bicycle Show & Swap in Arlington Heights. It was for sale. Oh, if I only had the storage space and the ability to transport it!

A recent acquisition: a Urago track bike hand made in Nice. I'm looking forward to building this bike up, but i don't know if my knees will forgive me...

Looks like a nice frame. Keep us updated on the build. What are your general plans?
I don't have any special plans for the parts. I don't know if i could find enough french track specific parts to peice it all together, although that would be a sweet setup.

I'll probably just try to find a bunch of decent used parts and throw it together.

I've ordered a rear rack for panniers.  I'll put a handlebar bag on it soon.  My plan is to make it a serious randonneur style bike.

I took the Motobecane out for its first (short) ride since kitting it out.  It still needs a few minor tweaks.  The derailleurs need to be adjusted and I have a new chain to put on.

Lovely. Makes a magnificently classic Randonneur. Are those Velo-Orange racks and bags (and fenders and delivery kickstand), or do you have a source for NOS French parts? I think you and I may have received the same VO fender-sets for Christmas. Mine are on the Robust now.

I agree, it's a great looking bike. Perfect fender line, classy wheelset. I'd really like to see some more pictures.

If those are the VO fluted fenders, I bought the same model for my wife for christmas. They were a challenge to install. Do yours rattle? if so, I can share my secret technique for silent riding.
