We would be happy to add any info after the report is posted at any time.
Have I seen this during Critical Mass?
Not sure if this got lost in the chatter, but we'd be more than happy to add the police report number when you have it, if you want to go ahead and make that listing to the registry.

Yes, in the Ravenswood/North Center/Lincoln Square area specifically.
Or maybe better expressed, on a line with the main east-west streets from about Lawrence to Bryn Mawr. I believe that recently some (small percentage of) junkers have branched out into bike theft and trafficking (they're not scrapping them) to make ends meet (it's become otherwise not sustainable due to the poor demand for metal.) Would be great if people could give a little extra scrutiny to anyone appearing to be working an alley with a truck.
There also may be a used bike store somewhere around the 5800 block of N. Western that may unwittingly purchase bikes from such individuals-- may be a good place to check because I'm sure they'd be very eager to get a bike back to its rightful owner if they discover it's stolen.

sorry about that...:( i will keep my eyes peeled around the albany park area. by chance can you post a pic of the damage. how people use tools to steal things helps me better understand the lengths people will goto to steal..
if you should need parts to build a new bike drop me an email I have tons of fixed gear parts..
yeah, filed the report last night so I throw a post up on the registry today!

Ahh this is interesting. I live around Damen/Wilson and my bike was on my back deck which opens to an alley. I came out this morning to bike to work and the bike was gone... I'll file a police report and the fill out the registery later when I get home.
It was a womens Giant, silver and red, should anyone happen across it.
Cheers,
