While happily attending my first mass I stopped in front of this car who was trying very hard to edge into the stream at Washington and Bishop. I guess this guy, a yuppie if I ever saw one, forgot to hold his brake, he rolled into my wheel.

We settled without cops, I charged him $200, went to a friends house and bought her early eights fuji tourer, changed the wheels and rode home. (I've had my eye on this fuji for a while, even if it's too big for me...I'll sell it and thus have free wheels)

Was this kosher? What would you have done?

Hard to believe anyone is posting more worthlessly than Cutifly (Marty), but you take the cake Dustin.

Fag? I haven't heard that in mixed company since grade school.

Hopefully another hiatus is in the works.

Geez, hater is a little harsh. Douch ok I can live with that, is that the same a being loved ? Ask the guy on the lakefront path on the way home home who's tire I fixed free of charge last night after mass or the girl I scraped up of the concrete three weeks ago after going into the curb nailing her hip and getting her to walk it off rather than spend $1000 on the ER when nothing was broken but only bruised. O yes, the dozen people in the last 3 years I have inspired to be very active riders rather than drive. O yes the fact I can paint an entire condo unit riding from Northfield all the way downtown with gear ladder and all. Hater no way sorry. I don't care what you do downtown, I mean you have to be a maniac rider to do your job. But we all know when you are on the LSD path or on the Mass you always show basic consideration and set a good example for the rest of us. What is there to hate ? I just feed in to all of this, I mean as much as you may not like me or what I have to say, that is what this site is for. Truly I am not upset or even close to being. I love bike culture in Chicago, I love the people who participate in it and if I get on anyones case it is only because I see a different viewpoint. The world would be really boring if we all agreed. The only thing I see is people hating on me when they do not like what I may have to say. (that would be you in this instance). I mean I am alone on a sat night, I am partied out, I despise Facebook, have watched every movie I can think of, I am sexed out and I don't feel like spending more money for no reason. What other place can I come and just say it like it comes to me. Would people rather I lie to be agreeable ? If someone takes offense to basic inane ranting then it really is not so inane after all and for the 1 person that hates back on me, I get 10 people who tell me they love it. I have heard it several times already this year. So, if your the one with a flat tire or the person who needs to be cared for after being run over by a car/truck or your being attacked by a group of kids, I am gonna be the one who sticks up for you whether or not you think I am a hater or a douch. I hope everyone reading this thread has a great a safe holiday !!!
Does your double-decker have a free wheel on it Cuti, 'cause it sounds like you're back pedaling...

9)

It occurs to me that I was vague before: "my time here" and "before I arrived" refer to the fact that I am from a galaxy far and away from metropolises like unto Chicago.

(derailed thread but I like talkin' shit!)
None of this stuff matters anyway after being run over, I am out of this one, thanks !!!
Pffffffffffffft... too much hating goin' on. Just sayin'.
I think I saw that soap once "As the Stomach Turns"
