The Chainlink

So this isn't exactly biking-related, but has anyone gone camping in the South-east region of Wisconsin? I've been wanting to plan a trip for a while now, but I'm not really sure how to get started other than going to a Wisconsin camping website and looking around. I figured finding people that have done it would probably be the best way to start planning the trip.

Thanks in advance!

i've been camping in the area once (forgot where). i just wanted to advise you...bring bug repellent...the 'squitoes are crazy there this time of year
Any ideas for fall/winter camping up there?
There's a bunch of state parks. There's also the Kettle Moraine if you want to hike into your spot. I don't think that you need reservations after labor day. I went winter camping last year and didn't see a single person. I highly recommend winter camping to anyone who hasn't tried it. You just need basically the same gear that you need for winter biking plus a couple other doo-dads (like a tent and a negative degree sleeping bag). Contact me if you need more info!
Hey Jim; I go camping all the time ., I do take my bike. You see they have wonderful trails. The one site that I like is called Blue Mounds. It's just west of Madison. If you have any questions just e-mail me at., buddaa38@yahoo.com ..
