A place for the thread on Spencer's idea for an AI designed route.  Drop a few points of interest and let it plot.  Tentatively proposed for March 26th ride, or perhaps a standalone theme ride on other date.

I am thinking about making this a April 1st thing. What do you think?
I saw that mentioned, but April 1st has something forming already.

I could see fully automating this in under a few dozen lines of PHP. Make a random CCM route generator web page. I'm not gonna do it, but funny idea: Pick n items from preferred points of interest list, start with Daley plaza, sequence items by consecutive proximity (sqrt(deltaLong^2*deltaLat^2) right?), pass to Google for point to point bike route output (xml/api complexities may ensue). Alternately substitute human feed at any point.
Oh man a ride entirely built without the aid of a human. BRILLIANT! It wouldn't be very hard...

Need this as KML. In Google Earth there's probably a landmarks layer, from which it may be possible to selectively export. Even without any further automation, having a proper source data set finishes most of the idea.
