We have a few threads here and there with introductions, but nothing organized. For this thread, post your picture, pics of your bikes, and a small blurb about yourself (favorite foods, commuting routes, etc).

howdy. my name is tim, and i like bikes, dirt, trees and really big rocks. i like ridding my bikes, shoveling dirt into jump sculpture (or berms, or rollers), shredding trees into little chunks with my trusty husqvarna and climbing to the top of really really big rocks, preferably at high altitude, but also in the desert and sometimes just whatever is available, i'm not picky so long as it doesn't have many bolts in it, i like climbing frozen water as well.

i've spent my whole life ridding, but a long long time ago, i broke my back and stopped ridding. after that (sorta) healed up i started climbin, and then stated riddin for training, now i just ride all the time. i've ridden to work every day no matter what the weather for 5 years. i have a couple nice road bikes, but i prefer my mountian bikes, xc, dirtjump, freeride or downhill. i've been a board member for the chicago area mountain bikers (cambr.org) and i continue to invest allot of effort in the garden dirtjumps (thegardenjumps.com).

heres some pics.

ridding my blkmrkt, crashin and stuff at the plainfield bike park.

i love my single speed 29er. the perfect trail weapon around here. i love rippin on this thing. saw wee kee trails in oswego are a blast, but i like all the rest as well.

when i say really really big rocks, i mean it. this is from the first hammerless ascent of the 5.10 C3+ dunn/westbay routes on the diamond, longs peak, RMNP, coloRADo.

this is the funnest bike i've ever owned. ripping on the trails at winter park resort is the most fun i can have while fully clothed. recently i put on that hammerschmidt and swapped on some lighter tires so i can also peddle up, sort of like an "all mountain" thing if ya gotta put a title on it.

oh yes, and my trusty gall with my trusty husky.
Hi I just joined. Started commuting to work this past summer.

I have not had time to take a new pic or a pic of my bike but you should be able to see my facebook page with pics of me 40 lbs ago: http://www.facebook.com/#/profile.php?ref=profile&id=1203282337

Plus that has all the "about me" info. I suppose i should take a pic of my bike in case it disappears, plus I just got snazzy new Schwalbe Marathon Winters, woot!

oops, it used to be viewable, they changed it around and since i switched it to pirate-speak awhile ago I can't tell what half of the settings are :) i will change it back in a minute.

edit: OK now it is set correctly I think, i set it to "any passing ship" instead of "mateys of mateys", which I believe is "public" in land lubber language.

Greetings,
I ride a Raleigh Pioneer, with gears and brakes. Sometimes I ride my bike and play guitar at the same time, which is not as difficult as it may seem. Here's a video:

In a few weeks I may post a thread looking for a bike riding mandolin player to form a bike riding, harmony singing bluegrass band. I play guitar and I have a bike riding fiddle player lined up.
Cheers,
-cwm

hello, I am john, I just moved to the bridgeport neighborhood from roanoke virginia and I brought this bike with me.
Hiya, my name's Rico and I recently moved to Logan Square. I have been here for a few weeks and enjoy the new commute to downtown via Milwaukee. I have participated in a few critical masses and will hopefully be attending the next Full Moon Fiasco and Midnight Marauders ride for the first time. I really enjoy Whirlaway and other booze related activities. Arturo's is probably my favorite on the go food, but I love very spicy asian foods.
