The Chainlink

Hi guys - this came up in an earlier Forum discussion, and then I saw a sticker that says it. Personally grammar alarm is going off because I'd want it to say, "no one cares THAT you ride a fixed gear." But seriously I'm curious, what do you guys think of it?

I like; I think it's a good reminder for us all.
I think riding a fixie feels cooler than riding an unfixed gear--more Zen. There's something about the way you produce, maintain and reduce speed that makes you more intimately connected with your bike--especially, for me, when clipped in. You can't just sit back and let the bike do all the work; when it is working, you are working. So, I like being reminded that, no matter how cool it feels, it doesn't and shouldn't make you look cool.

I'd also like to see variations on this theme:
"no one cares your bag is gucci"
"no one cares you're an art student"
"no one cares you make your own hummus"
oh man evank thats funny. make your own hummus thats excellent.
I like stickers and stuff like that cuz it brings more attention to cycling. Who cares what you ride just have fun riding a bike...thats what i do. although i definetly prefer fixed gear by far
all i want to say is... it appears that the sticker is on a fixed, and the sticker draws more attention to that fact... that's all i'm saying.

if you really love just riding your bike, then do it. don't think about what other people ride for.
ridic.
I think it makes it even funnier that the sticker is on a fixie. In fact, I think they should make other stickers that say:
"no one cares that I ride a fixie"
OR
"YOU don't care that I ride a fixie"

Another funny one is...

"Fixed gear is SO last year"

LOL
I'm pretty much over handlebars too.

youre all the missing the most golden sticker idea. "riding bikes is for suckers" and slap that thing on your fender
I actually saw someone riding with no handlebars once. He had both hands holding the stem for dear life. It's so last year.
holy shit! was he praying to god?!

A 19th century solution to a 21st century problem - oh that was all bikes that jerk congressman was talking about...

oh my aching knees is all I can think of, when riding into a head wind with only 1 gear...

fixed gears are fine, but yeah handlebars long enough for a brake lever and ahem a brake lever/front brake (at least) are what impress me most about a fixee for street use.

Give hipsters a brake!
I also like Fixtees (Mixte Fixees) - Al the Pal's "French Gentleman" is nice!
