not many people riding bikes on Milwaukee Ave. this morning
I've been trying to commute more this fall, at least when it's dry. This morning was a pretty good chance to put on layers and take a brisk ride into the Loop. Didn't see too many folks out on Milwaukee this morning, at least not before 8 am. Of course when it's raining or snowing, you won't see me either : )

we're just on different schedules! I was out around lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised that I did see quite a few cyclists.

Yeah, the cold weather of last week definitely separated the men from the boys (or the women from the girls, if you have 2 Y-chromosomes). Where I usually see a few dozen bicyclists on my morning commute the last week that number has dropped to below 10 or so.

I just rode from the Loop to Ukrainian Village via Milwaukee and Augusta and saw about a dozen other cyclists out, though one was fixing a flat and two were walking their bikes, I hope they did not have flats too.

leaving the office now and will be heading up milwaukee...gonna miss that sun.
i'm not sure last week made a distinction of anyone -- i doubt anyone who rode in that freezing-wet to frigid will say that they were great rides. it was miserable.

Perhaps it is something particular about those who ride on Milwaukee Ave? I saw the normal number of other riders this morning coming to the loop from McKinley Park: 1. (sometimes it is two, but sometimes it is zero, not counting me of course.)
I sure don't miss Milwaukee Ave although I have a couple blocks of Archer now which is pretty gruesome.

Took Milwaukee from Western to the Loop around 8:15 and saw one other cyclist. Certainly felt oddly empty in the bike lane.
