Does anyone know if a standard size U-lock will fit inside one of these beauts?

Yes, but a note -- I have this bag and it's really not up to Brooks' usual quality. I have replaced the straps twice in two years and the seams are coming undone. My conclusion is that you really can't carry more than a few pounds... meaning a U-lock (let alone a U-lock plus other stuff) might not work out very well. I'd suggest a Carradice-styled saddle bag if you need to carry a lot.

But they do look great, the Brooks bags.
I second the Carradice. Excellent bags- I have the Super C Barley, it holds a ton. And you can get a quick release bracket from Rivendell made by Nitto so you can take it with you quite easily.

Hell,

You don't need to spend the $$ on the Rivendell quick release.

try this instead

Works great, especially if you have a Brooks saddle.
