where to boss?
K-Rock, check out the Upcoming Rides and Events section. I think Ashley's organizing a Happy Labor Day ride (60-70 miles).
If it starts later, I would love to, something mildly easier; would like to travel West or South; would
need to know soon.

I am thinking that the organized ridetomorrow will be too fast for my fixed.

What time?
Sounds fun to me: as long as it's not some early AM start. And if Thang goes, I'm in; I would probably be in either way as long as it's before noon and after 10am. Any routes would be fun for me.

Any meet up spots/destinations/times work better for people than others?

I know Thang is in Lincoln Square; I am surbanite but am cat-sitting (I know, I know) in the West Loop so I am pretty impartial; 40+ miles would be great and NOT more than 15 mph.

I am watching Breaking Away right now so I should be amply prepared.

KROCK: what area of city are you in?

yeah, i don't think tomorrow's ride would suit me, either. i am pretty pokey. :)

i don't really have an idea of where to go; just throwing the idea out there to see if anyone would be interested in doing something or had any ideas for a trail/route... originally i was thinking about taking a trail/route to the Indiana border.

I am heading to bed now; text me your phone number tonight before bed: 630-962-8489 and we'll figure it out. I will try to contract Thang tonight or tomorrow A.M.

i'm cat sitting in the Gold Coast ;-). i'm gonna go to bed soon, but will be up early if you and Thang and anyone else want to chit chat about this and come up w/ location and time. 11ish totally works for me. just need a meet up point and the route to the trail... and the trail! ;-)

Anyone wanting to join, text me at 630-962-8489; leave from the Gold Coast area at ten a.m.

Probably going toward Indiana, but unsure.

NO lycra racers please. :)

Very moderate pace. 30 miles plus.
i'll break out the rooad bike! ...and check the tires. cat sitting is a perpetual job for me.
Great; bring a spare tube for me :)

You guys should join the Pick-Up Group Rides group and post your desired ride there! That way more people will see it and hopefully we can get an active group started. Have fun tomorrow!
good luck - headed out to the dunes last week and its pretty rough going once off the trail and once in indiana for certain... I would suggest Palos
Is this the same group from Iron Cycles?

Hey guys. A small group of is is headed up to the botanic gardens. A mellow ride mostly on paved trails. I'm meeting the group at montrose and kedzie around 11 if you guys want to head north instead of south. Its a bit prettier imho. See y'all I hope. Hit me on my cell anytime y'all want to ride. I'm pretty much down whenever. 773 391 3345
