The Chainlink

I'm totally copying an idea from another poster a couple of weeks back (I tried to link but I can find the post) by showing a vid of my daily commute sped-up 4x. I also copied Ryan by adding social commentary throughout the vid. I used the do-it-yourself camera mount posted by Kristian. I hope you enjoy the musical selections. I enjoyed watching the others, so maybe you'll like mine.

And your reason for not seeing them at the Allstate on Aug 28, 2004? :)

Did you know that Metallica debut Dyers Eve live until 2004? 16 years after it's release! That's one song I would have loved to see them play..
Thanks for sharing..
I can't believe how much I enjoy these videos in general and this one in particular, and I can't believe how nervous I get when they depict riding by parked car doors at 2-4x.

Since there are presently threads on this site chastising posters for characterizing/mischaracterizing neighborhoods in Chicago I think it's important to note that I grew up in Park Ridge and attended Maine South High School. Another crack about Mayberry and I'm going to have to come over there and kick someone's ass. You've been warned...
Great video....the adrenaline was flowing.
OUCH! That's going to leave a mark.

Escape and The Struggle Within haven't been done live either.

Yeah, the timing on "Dyers Eve" is insane and killer to pull off live. I love that song and considered it for this but it was too short. To the best of my knowledge, the only song they've written which they have not played in its entirety is "To Live is to Die"; the last song Cliff had input on. I don't know if they've done My Friend of Misery either, actually.

Single Occupant SUV! Look out..

Great song to watch it to too, I was just listening to that album. I'm pulling out some of the oldies tonight, the old Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax etc.. I got Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son on right now.. Funny thing not to distract from the topic.. Did you know that Metallica debut Dyers Eve live until 2004? 16 years after it's release! As long as we're at it, here's the Apple Cider Century (excerpts) in 6 minutes.

I ride Mt. Prospect to downtown every day and take Busse Highway through Park Ridge. They repaved it last fall from Des Plaines and it is baby bottom smooth now. By far my favorite way to go, but then when I get to Park Ridge its pretty much Northwest Highway or.... wherever this is? Where did you start? I don't recognize anything.
Nice!
Thank God it's only excerpts. Let's see, 100 miles in five and a half or six hours.... 50+ times normal speed! I was expecting to see something more like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCb0IU8jBGI

Nice vid though.

Video is awesome. Best one yet and now I think I have seen like 6 of these things. They are always fun though, but you did a great job and there are points where the music is in perfect sync with the bumpiness....awesome....I like this song too, but overall, I think only the first three metallica records are worth it. Boy do those drum sounds suck on this album! What the hell is up with that snare?
Ummm, perhaps some BASS GUITAR?

Thanks Lee. Justice is my favorite Metallica album. I can't imagine how much better it would have been with better production. I find the sound of the bass drum to be much worse than the snare. The musicianship and songwriting on this album are epic, only truly rivaled by Master.
