Recreational, Exercise, Commuting, Distance, Around Town
About me:
I am a photographer studying at Columbia College Chicago. My goal is to hold a degree in visual anthropology and own my own non profit organization that works towards fighting for women's rights and sex education in the south. I would also like to raise awareness towards issues with disabled veterans because my father was a disabled veteran.
I have been biking since May 2011 and the majority of my biking life has been spent in Chicago. I love the city and am grateful to be learning to be a bike commuter in such a wonderful area. I look forward to becoming more engrained in the Chicago Bike Community.
I am very proud of my collection of cameras, vinyl, baking, and family heirlooms. My family is very important to me as well as my southern heritage.
I love to bike around the city with my boyfriend exploring different areas of the city and trying new foods.
I am an avid supporter of local business especially ones in the Ukrainian Village area ( Comrade Cycles, Star Lounge Coffee, Feed, and Permanent Records).
Bike safety for cyclists as well as motorists and pedestrians is important to me. Running red lights/stop signs is never an option. I believe that bike lights and a helmet are necessary no matter what.
