I'm planning on an overnight trip from New Lenox to visit a friend in Highland, IN. Seems the easiest route is the old plank road trail.  Is the trail through Chicago Heights safe?  I read a newspaper story about the trail where an alderman, I think it was, stating that the trail goes through one of the roughest areas of Chicago Heights.  Has anyone ever had any bad experiences here?I just read a story about a failed sexual assault along the trail - But that was in New Lenox.  Be aware of your…See More
