What brings you to The Chainlink?
I'm president of Great Headwaters Trails. We're a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer nonprofit helping municipalities develop non motorized bike trails in Wisconsin's Northwoods - the Eagle River area to be precise. I taught high school in Oak Park and love to have this way to stay in touch with bike folks in the Chicago area.
About me:
Retired from teaching English and journalism at Oak Park-River Forest High School in 2005. My wife, Ann, and I have lived most of the time up here around Eagle River since then. We helped form Great Headwaters Trails in 2010 and have enjoyed working to develop family-friendly bike trails since then. This area, eastern Vilas County, is a great playground for retired forks like us, and for everyone, really!
