I share Gene's concern about the steep incline at the north end of the flyover. I'm a senior-citizen cyclist and just looking at what's been done so far has me concerned. It probably meets the ADA standards for a project like this. Even so, if my downshifting to my lowest gear fails, I too will be walking my bike up the bridge.
I am concerned about the steep incline at the north end of the flyover. For seasoned cyclists this is not a problem, but for many others it will be a struggle to get up that incline. I foresee a lot of riders getting off their bicycles and walking their bikes up the flyover which creates safety issues for those who try to dodge the dismounting riders. Too bad that engineers do not ride bikes, or they would have recognized this problem.
