The Breaker Cycle Multi Tool ($69 MSRP)

One thing that we enjoyed seeing at the 2015 edition of Intrerbike was the innovative approaches people were taking to the lowly multi-tool. Not that there’s anything wrong with the garden variety folding hex wrench set, but there are certainly better ways to keep things compact while increasing ease-of-use.

One such example is The Breaker Cycle Multi Tool by the small British outfit Full Windsor. This device has everything you need for roadside repairs. This includes a chain breaker (thus the name), plus a tire lever, spoke wrench, hex wrenches, screwdriver and the ubiquitous bottle opener.

The long handle enhances leverage while the sweet leather carrying case  fits nicely under a Brooks saddle or slides neatly in a jersey pocket. On top of that, it’s got straps to secure a spare tube and mini tire pump.

The Breaker ain’t cheap, and at the moment you have to order it from across the pond. But if you seek a unique gift that will offer years of use, we think it’s worth it.
